As the air turns crisp and twinkling lights begin to adorn our homes, we find ourselves enveloped in the warmth and wonder of the holiday season. It's a time for cherished traditions, heartfelt gatherings, and the creation of new memories.
This holiday season, we invite artists to capture the magic of this special time of year in Call to Artists: "'Tis the Season."
Interpret the spirit of the holidays in your own unique way.
Explore themes of:
Winter Wonderlands: Capture the serene beauty of snow-dusted landscapes, glistening ice crystals, and the cozy comfort of a fireside gathering.
The Spirit of Giving: Illustrate the heartwarming acts of kindness, generosity, and compassion that define the true meaning of the season.
Symbolic Delights: Explore the iconic imagery of the holidays, from sparkling ornaments and twinkling lights to festive treats and cherished decorations.
Artists are encouraged to submit works in various mediums, including paintings, photography, mixed media, sculpture, fiber arts, and jewelry.
Join us as we celebrate the enchantment of the holiday season through the transformative power of art.
Let your creativity shine, and share your unique perspective on this magical time.
The holiest of all holidays are those
Kept by ourselves in silence and apart;
The secret anniversaries of the heart,
When the full river of feeling overflows;
The happy days unclouded to their close;
The sudden joys that out of darkness start
As flames from ashes swift desires that dart
Like swallows singing down each wind that blows!
White as the gleam of a receding sail,
White as a cloud that floats and fades in air,
White as the whitest lily on a stream,
These tender memories are a fairy tale
Of some enchanted land we know not where,
But lovely as a landscape in a dream.
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
